Tool Fixt respects and safeguards your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy details how we handle user data, file processing, cookies, and communications.
2. Browser-Side File Processing & Data Retention
The vast majority of our file utilities (including PDF tools, image compressors, photo resizers, and text converters) process documents directly within your client web browser through the HTML5 File API and Web Crypto. In these tools, your files are never transmitted to or stored on our external servers.
For any tools that require temporary server-side assistance, uploaded files are queued in isolated scratch directories, processed immediately, and automatically purged within two hours. We never read, share, index, or retain your uploaded documents.
3. Information We Collect
- Anonymous Usage Telemetry: An anonymous session identifier and IP address counter to enforce fair daily usage limits and deter denial-of-service abuse.
- Registered Accounts: When you register for an account, we securely store your name, email address, and an irreversibly hashed password (using scrypt).
- Subscription & Payment Records: Transaction IDs, order identifiers, subscription tiers, and receipts. We never see or store full credit card numbers; all payments are processed securely via verified gateways (Razorpay / PayU).
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session, persist your theme preferences (Light or Dark mode), and manage free usage quotas. Third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) may utilize cookies to serve relevant advertisements in accordance with their privacy policies.
